I’m experienced and confident at working with all kinds singers and musicians to help them give their best performances and get that recorded to a high standard. I’ve worked with experienced, confident artists, but more importantly lots of first time newcomers so I will explain it all in advance and aim to make you feel at ease.
Preparation is key to make the most of our time. If you already have songs ready to go, you can prepare me! If not I may prepare rough backing tracks for your session and I may also suggest what you might think about and practice before you come to the studio. You know it makes sense!
We can record at my studio or I can book other studios I am used to if appropriate. Either way I aim to make the recording time enjoyable and relaxed. No rush … we all want the best outcome. Depending on our agreement we may have more than one session, especially for vocalists when long and tiring is not the best way.
I am also a creative and experienced musician: guitarist; bassist; keyboard player and virtual instrument programmer, so I can add any instruments or include any other session musicians you require. In Pre-Production I will pitch you my ideas but at the recording stage you can review and adjust what I play for you. Want a ‘stadium’ guitar solo? More subtle strings? Lets talk!
