Bass Guitarist, Musician and Music Producer

Thanks for looking. I put this page together just to simplify giving some information about me and my playing to others rather than long message exchanges! I’ve posted a number of videos and links below, not perfect but hopefully useful illustrations.

I’m a versatile, experienced and skilled bass guitarist, all round musician, audio engineer and music producer. A veteran of hundreds of performances in quality bands including big venues to big audiences and theatre style productions. I also bring decent baritone backing vocals, I’m used to using IEM systems and I’m an experienced studio and live audio engineer with my own compact recording studio.

I take pride in collaborating well in bands, practicing and preparing meticulously and not making mistakes (well not many!). Used to playing long sets, I have 100s of songs in repertoire. I’m a fast learner, good at picking up complex parts and arrangements by ear. Just a music obsessed, geeky enthusiast with lots of time, energy and commitment. I love paying attention to all the details while still making the music groove!

I have top quality gear and car transport. Gear includes – Basses : 78 Rickenbacker 4001, Fender Precisions, Sire, Yamaha 5-String, Fretless, Upright Double Bass and more. Through – Line 6 wireless and HX Stomp, Darkglass pre-amp, Fender amps and cabs. Sennheiser IEM system, Allen & Heath digital mixing and IEM apps with iPads for controls and notation. Various electric, acoustic and 12-string guitars, mandolin & ukuleles. Korg synth and midi bass pedals.
