The B-52s have been a big part of my life, I love them so much, and I especially love Cindy’s singing … my favourite, though Jan’s is Kate! This gig clashed with First Aid Kit at the Usher Hall. No contest, it had to be Cindy, FAK could wait ’til Copenhagen.

Cindy recently recorded a new album ‘Change’ with a new band, a very different combination of guitar and electronic backing, but these songs worked well and sounded great live. She played only new material, no B-52s songs, but her trademark vocal style was still there. No chat, not much visual going on apart from video backdrop, so she seemed shy and reserved. We loved it anyway because we love her!
