Living Body – Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburgh – 18 Dec 2016

I heard about Living Body through Katie Harkin (Sky Larkin, Sleater-Kinney). Though she was on their album she is not in the band now, but I trusted her good taste and that was a good move! I was really impressed.

Living Body is the latest project of Jeff Smith, an American from Chicago now based in Leeds. He has assembled a great band but he is the focus of much of the music with strong songs and great guitar playing. Interaction with harmonies from Alice also really nice. I bought their CD which is growing on me.

I also enjoyed supports Critters and especially I Am Pluto, Craig Finnie stepping up to deliver a solo show of his thoughtful and melodic songs due to illness in his band who were due to play. Another enjoyable night at Sneaky Pete’s as always.

7.5/11 Attended by George
