I played bass guitar in AVO-8 with my sister Jan, sister-in-law Claire, and my brothers-in-law Stevie and Kenny (beat that ABBA!) Formed in 1985 we produced 3 singles (that would be vinyl then!) and had a recording contract with Cherry Red Records. Got some nice national radio airplay, especially Radio 1 from John Peel, Andy Kershaw and amazingly Steve Wright in the afternoon! We recorded a Radio 1 session for Andy Kershaw but never made it big though and called it a day in 1990.
